Aamir Khan is reportedly in talks to star in a new superhero film, currently in early development.
Superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly in discussions for a new superhero film, a major project that would see him collaborate with producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director R Balki. The ambitious venture is currently in its initial stages of development, with the script being the primary focus for the creative team as they shape the narrative.
While Khan has shown interest in the concept, he has not yet officially signed on, a characteristic move for the actor who typically commits only after a script is fully realized. The filmmakers are working closely with him to develop the story, screenplay, and the main character's arc, indicating a tailored approach to the project.
Given the large-scale nature of the planned superhero film, significant attention will also be paid to its production design and the overall visual aesthetic. Director R Balki, known for his distinctive storytelling in films like Paa and Pad Man, is expected to bring a fresh and unconventional perspective to the superhero genre.
This film would mark a significant first for Khan, as he has never previously worked with either Sajid Nadiadwala, despite a long-standing friendship, or R Balki. Balki himself once noted the time commitment involved in working with major stars, suggesting a careful and deliberate process for this new collaboration.
Beyond this potential superhero role, Khan is also reportedly in talks for Race 4. His confirmed upcoming projects include Ashutosh Gowariker's Lalkaara, a period sports drama set to begin shooting in November 2026, and a sequel to the hit film 3 Idiots, which is still in development.
