One-Punch Man's entire anime run, including its contentious later seasons, is finally set to stream on Netflix USA.
On August 25th, 2026, Netflix USA will finally host the complete anime adaptation of One-Punch Man, marking the return of its critically acclaimed first season and the long-awaited streaming debut of subsequent installments. This expansion brings the full narrative arc of ONE and Yusuke Murata's beloved manga to a broader audience, catching up with other regions where the series has already been available.
The series first captivated audiences in 2015 with its inaugural season, animated by Madhouse, which garnered global recognition for its distinctive protagonist and blend of absurd comedy with devastating threats. However, Madhouse's departure led J.C. Staff to take over for Season 2 in 2019. This transition sparked considerable debate among fans regarding the shift in animation quality, though the season still found success after a four-year wait.
The most significant controversy emerged with Season 3, which premiered on October 12th, 2025, following an arduous six-year hiatus. Despite the immense anticipation, many viewers expressed profound disappointment with the animation, which was widely criticized as a significant decline from even Season 2. This adaptation, continuing the Monster Association Arc, was unfortunately labeled by some as among the industry's weakest, failing to capture the manga's visual potential.
Despite the widespread criticism, J.C. Staff is confirmed to return for the second cour of Season 3, slated for release in 2027, continuing the extensive Monster Association Arc. While the manga itself remains ongoing with numerous arcs yet to be adapted, the anime's future beyond Season 3 Part 2 appears uncertain. The significant drop in popularity following the animation quality issues casts a long shadow over its long-term prospects.
