Absolute Batman Volume 1: The Zoo, penned by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Nick Dragotta, is among the contenders. It stands alongside Absolute Martian Manhunter Vol 1: Martian Vision, from writer Deniz Camp and artist Javier Rodriguez, in the highly competitive category.
