One of Weekly Shonen Jump's biggest current hits is about to take a bow. Sakamoto Days is heading into its endgame.
Yuto Suzuki's Sakamoto Days, the action-comedy about a retired legendary hitman, is entering its climax arc beginning with Issue #35, out July 26, 2026, and it is expected to conclude very soon after.
Reports point to the series ending around August 2 with Chapter 270. After more than five years of serialization and 267 chapters, that would bring one of Jump's defining recent titles to a close.
The final stretch finds Sakamoto in his last confrontation with Uzuki, better known as Slur, with the fan-favorite Nagumo fighting at his side after Sakamoto suffered a grave injury.
The ending also caps a year of heavy turnover at Shonen Jump. Sakamoto Days becomes the fifth major series to conclude in 2026, following the likes of the decade-spanning Black Clover and Blue Box, which wrapped on July 12.
For a magazine that constantly rotates in new talent, the exits clear space for the next generation, but few of this year's departures will be felt quite like Sakamoto's.
